Weekly lessons - a regular lesson spot every week running the school year. This is the most effective way to build your skill set.
Drop-in lessons - schedule as frequently or seldom as your project, goals, or our overlapping schedules permit. Life skills training typically falls in this category, but it has its own scheduling section.
Full details are below.

Scheduling varies depending on the student's goals, so it is best to email or call to discuss the range of options and figure out what is most beneficial. Some topics, such as learning everything related to doing laundry (including cleaning the machines and trouble shooting basic issues), can be covered in one session where others might take a full semester. Similarly, students can come for a one-off session to assess where the gaps are and set a plan for bridging them or have a standing weekly lesson to work on the skills they would like to learn over the course of a whole semester.
Students can sign up for private sessions or with a friend group of up to six.
Semester-long weekly lessons are $40 per 30 minutes, cash. $50 per 30 minutes, check or digital currency. This includes the materials used for the lesson (meal ingredients, tools, etc.) except in rare cases where a student wishes to learn something where the costs are irreducibly higher than the planned expense. In such a scenario, the additional amount will be discussed with parents before moving forward. Full semester tuition is due at the first lesson.
Standard individual topic sessions range from $60 (cash) to $200. Every topic has its own tuition rate based on the scope and materials required. Doing it this way, instead of one set price, makes many of the classes significantly more affordable than charging a set rate to cover all types of training.
Larger projects (learning to organize an entire bedroom by actually doing so) are decided on a case-by-case basis. The consultation for such projects is $20 (plus a transportation fee if the distance is significant), which will be deducted from the tuition total if you move forward.
For skills that are more effectively learned when worked on in the home, I will travel to you for a nominal fee determined by distance. If the rate is not manageable for your family, there are ways to reduce the cost.
The lesson rate remains the same for up to six students in the room. Bringing a friend (or two, or three) who is working on the same material is a great way to receive the same training for less.
Bartering is also an option. Everyone has a skill or resource they can trade - even the students. There is always a lot that can be done in the old house I live in and the studio never runs out of music and such that can be organized. Handy fixing a fence? Great. Can you pull weeds? Wonderful. Have your own farm fresh eggs? Fantastic.

Weekly lessons are a regular lesson day and time every week except for major school breaks, running August through December and January through May. These can be thirty minutes to an hour in length, which will be determined after a preliminary lesson which a parent should also attend.
To schedule a preliminary lesson, e-mail cmoultonstudio@gmail.com and include as much information as possible such as age of the student, urgency of lessons needed (is there an upcoming audition, performance, etc.), any previous training, goals of the student, what general days and timeframes can work in your schedule, etc.

(The rate for Quadratum members is $30 per 30 minutes, cash; $40 per 30 minutes, check or digital currency.)
If you cancel a lesson, or are a no-show, you still owe for the lesson. If the instructor cancels and you had already paid for the lesson, your payment will be refunded.
Drop-in lessons are a great option for those who are working toward a specific short-term project such as an audition or performance, adults with limited availability, or students of a skill level such that they only need occasional check-ins.
They are the same rate for up to six students at a time, making them a cost-effective choice for small groups of students who are working on the same project. Examples: students wanting to be in a talent show, showcase, or scholarship performance together; cast mates who want to improve scenes, songs, or choreography for the show they are in; students that are around the same music theory level who would like to study together.
How to Schedule
This type of lesson can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length depending on the topic and goals of the student. Lessons are held at my home studio (a couple of minutes past 1410 Dura Dr. SW, Marietta, GA 30008), St. Dunstan's Episcopal in Buckhead, and the Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square (117 North Park Sq., Marietta).
Home Details: Please park in the driveway or in the street to the right of the driveway (when facing the house). Students should be ready on the front bench a couple of minutes before the lesson start time. During the lesson, parents and siblings are welcome to play in the front yard, sit on the porch, take a walk around the neighborhood, or run errands. Weekly lesson students may arrive early or remain after their lesson in one of the designated homework/work areas to avoid traffic, help with complicated schedules, etc. Shoes should be removed upon entry. There are pets on the premises.
St. Dunstan Details: Once on the property, continue through the parking lot until you reach the end of the driveway. Park in any available spot. If the weather is nice enough, please wait on the bench outside of the choir room.
Strand Details: The box office is not typically open during lesson times, so please wait at the front doors. If another employee lets you into the building, wait in the lobby as the space the lesson will occur in changes based on availability and lesson needs.
Hard copies of the following documents will be available at the first lesson and are due at the end of that lesson.
